Through adoption, families weave race, culture and identity into one and as a result, families formed through trans-racial or trans-cultural adoption must confront unique challenges. Adoption Network Cleveland has designed its Weaving Cultures, Nurturing Families workshop to provide a safe place for those considering trans-racial or trans-cultural adoption to face and process their own biases and prejudices while sensitizing them to the issues of race and culture that will be part of their adoption experience. Space for the program is limited. Advance registration is required. Two-part workshop begins Saturday, April 1st from 9am to 4pm. Adoption Network Cleveland is located at 1667 East 40th, Suite B1.
