Intro to Swing! For the complete beginner

Intro to FUN! This is a beginners Jitterbug & Lindy Hop class. Increasingly dynamic moves will be used to build frame and connection with our partners and that will lead us into a comfortable first Lindy experience.

Designing Lindy for Advanced dancers

This class will expose elements of Lindy Hop, partner connection, and personal body movement that we'll use to mix and match together to create more moves than you can shake a stick at!

Partner Steals for Intermediate/Adv dancers
8:30-9:45pm

This class will teach both leads and follows how to smoothly “steal” someone’s partner away so hat they can continue the dance with you ...until someone “steals” your partner from YOU!

Wednesdays in Cleveland

Beginning Balboa for all levels
7pm—8:15pm

Learn the basics of this wonderful feeling dance that started in So. Cal. in the 30s. Balboa can be done to any tempo, but it can really save your life for those faster songs. Improves your lead/follow skills!

Bal-Swing for Intermediate level dancers

Bal-Swing can be a bit tricky, but not when you learn from these pros! Improve your throw out and learn some other really super cool open position variations. This is the next logical step after you are feeling REALLY comfy in pure bal.

Wednesdays in Lakewood

Intro to Blues Dancing for all levels
7pm-8:15pm

Blues music can be really slow, just regular slow or medium tempo but the feeling is different from swing music. This class will teach you how to move to these types of songs. This class will improve your partnered connection immensely!

Blues Dancing for Inter. dancers
8:30pm-9:45pm

Expand your Blues-ability by learning new methods of movement and how to integrate the rest of your dance knowledge into one big happy Blues dance!

Cost for 5 week classes is:
$50 per person pre-pay/$70 per person paying day of

John Lozano, aka Liquid Lindy, has taught and been a major influence to the Detroit scene for the last six years.  Over the years he's developed a two-prong approach towards the dance balancing the science and art of Lindy Hop.  Off the floor he practices with mental rituals of breaking down the elements and movements of the dance, and reconstructing them in creative new ways.  On the floor, he simply opens his ears and gives himself to the music.
