Intro to Lindy! Going from Jitterbug to Lindy

How to easily bridge that Jitterbug to Lindy gap and come out successfully swingin’!

Intro to Swing! For the absolute beginner
8:30pm-9:45pm Teachers: John L. & Friends!
Intro to FUN! This is a beginners Jitterbug class. Increasingly dynamic moves will be used to build frame and connection with our partners and that will lead us into a comfortable first partnered dancing experience.

Designing Lindy for Inter/Advanced dancers
7pm-8:15pm

This class will expose elements of Lindy Hop, partner connection, and personal body movement that we'll use to mix and match together to create more moves than you can shake a stick at! (Popular class, so be sure to secure your spot in advance.)

Musical Applications for Inter/Advanced dancers
8:30-9:45pm

Small chunks of original choreography will be taught each week. Explanations of how the choreo. was created and how to use it in a practical way on the social dance floor will be given. Both leadable moves and independent movement will be taught.

Wednesdays in Cleveland

Beginning Balboa for all levels
7pm—8:15pm
Teachers Greg & Mary Ann
Learn the basics of this wonderful feeling dance that started in So. Cal. in the 30s. Balboa can be done to any tempo, but it can really save your life for those faster songs. Improves your lead/follow skills!

Bal-Swing for Intermediate level dancers
8:30pm – 9:45
Teachers Greg & Mary Ann
Bal-Swing can be a bit tricky, but not when you learn from these pros! Improve your throw out and learn some other really super cool open position variations. This is the next logical step after you are feeling REALLY comfy in pure bal.

Wednesdays in North Olmsted

Beg/Inter Charleston
7pm-8:15pm

You will learn the basics of in-line, side-by-side and face-to-face Charleston and then move on to some really cool variations. You’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with little mental effort in this dance.

Beg/Inter Blues Dancing
8:30pm-9:45pm
Teachers John L. & Friends!
Slow and oh-so connected! Expand your Blues-ability by learning new methods of movement and how to integrate the rest of your dance knowledge into one big happy Blues dance!

Movement & Musicality—the not-so typical workshop for swing dancers coming in May! Taught by John L. & Jan 3hrs @ $20
Come and play with us and discover incredible new potentials in dance. We’ll be exploring movement, connection, and music in ways that will develop creativity and comfort in our dances. This “anything goes” workshop will guide you through exciting and unconventional avenues of experimentation which will benefit your dancing whether you’ve been at it for six months or six years.
