Café Ah Roma opens art gallery showcasing Environmental Art Exhibit in Berea, Ohio
Environmental Artists David Jakupca kicks off the quarterly summer shows!
Berea, Ohio - Café Ah Roma is opening the doors to its new art gallery exhibition featuring the Italian Landscape paintings of Berea Environmental Artist David Jakupca. Café Ah Roma transformed part of the restaurant to accommodate quarterly shows featuring environmental artwork from ICEA. Restaurant Owner Rob Bennett is calling the special exhibition “That’s Ah More at Café Ah Roma”. The art gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The show will run through Friday, June 28. Admission is free.
“We are thrilled to have at our place such a talented and intuitive artist,” said Rob Bennett General Manager/Owner of Café Ah Roma. “David’s work of Italy represents history, classic beauty and local pride, which are all the qualities we strive for at Café Ah Roma.”
David’s current exhibition centers around the landscapes of northern Italy including the Italian Alps. His environmental art has been applauded locally here in Berea since the 1970’s. David’s home studio, The ARK in Berea, has been recognized as an official state historical landmark by the Ohio Historical Society. As American Cultural Ambassador, he has shared his techniques and visions through the International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA). Through David, Berea is recognized as the Home of the Environmental Art Movement
“We enjoy partnering with ICEA by giving local celebrity artists a vehicle to show the depth of culture in Berea,” said Bennett. “The corner art gallery is a perfect location to expose Bereans walking by as well as our customers that we service guests from all over the world.”
