Front Room Gallery is pleased to present THE MYSTERIOUS ELASTIC STUDIO!!! a multi-genre
exhibit curated by New York artist Jacques Louis Vidal.
THE MYSTERIOUS ELASTIC STUDIO!!! will feature the work of artists Kate Lavant, Paul Wadell, and
David Boylan. As participants they have all agreed to only include work that is created
specifically in Cleveland, Ohio in the exhibition. They must also follow a set of guidelines set by
the curator:
1. Each artist will receive one large (8’X8’) platform on which to exhibit.
2. Artists are expected to work in Cleveland for one week, a few days prior to the exhibit.
3. Artists must bring with them “conceptual framework” and materials for use on the occasion of
being temporarily displaced in another city.
THE MYSTERIOUS ELASTIC STUDIO!!! will be the first exhibition held at Front Room’s new
location! Front Room is now located at E. 36th and Superior Ave., down the street from the Art
Craft and Tower Press buildings. The Payne-Sterling neighborhood, located in the center of
Chinatown, is a thriving area for artists living and working in Cleveland.
