WHAT:
The 2008 Bike MS “Pedal to the Point” is one of more than 100 bike tours across the U.S. to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. During the 22nd annual Bike MS “Pedal to the Point” event, more than 2,000 riders of all ages, levels and abilities are challenged to ride a 30, 75, 100 or 150-mile route.
WHEN:
Saturday, August 16 – Sunday, August 17. Check-in is at 6:00 a.m. and the route opens at 7:00 a.m. on 8/16. The majority of riders return from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on 8/17.
WHERE:
Bike MS begins in Berea, Ohio at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and travels 75 miles to Sandusky, Ohio. Riders have the option of staying at a hotel or camping at Sandusky High School. Two-day riders have the opportunity to relax with family and friends while enjoying the overnight entertainment or taking advantage of a free ticket to Cedar Point. The next day, riders are treated to breakfast before they ride 75 miles back to the fairgrounds for a celebratory picnic.
WHY:
Riders collect pledges (a $250 minimum + $50 registration fee) to help fund programs and services for more than 18,000 Ohio residents living with MS and to fund MS-related medical research projects.
