He completed 100 miles of the Nation’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride in 2006 to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and now this Chagrin Falls, Ohio resident is doing it again in 2007. Paul DeLuca has committed to raise $50,000 in the coming months as part of his pledge to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and businesses and individuals can help by placing an advertisement on his new fund raising website, www.LifeAds.org.
For just $125, you can get exposure for your business, and help a great cause. Paul is training to participate in the 100-mile century ride as part of Team In Training in Lake Tahoe, Nevada on June 3. Last year, Team in Training raised more than $8 million dollars at that one event alone.
Paul’s inspiration is his son, Matt, who was diagnosed with leukemia in August of 2004. He says, “The moment we walked into the Emergency Room at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, our lives changed forever. One day Matt was at a soccer camp; the next we were discussing chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants, and facing the sobering realities of cancer.” After nearly four months the leukemia cells in Matt’s blood dissipated. Paul says it was like receiving a miracle. Matt does have a life-altering blood disorder called spherocytosis, but it is not life-threatening. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of children and adults will not be so lucky.
LifeAds.org is a win-win proposition for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and for donors. Businesses and individuals gain recognition for their companies, products, or services, while also gaining recognition as supporters of charity.
Visit www.LifeAds.org to make your contribution, and pass the link along to others you feel would also benefit from the advertising, and who would like to make a contribution to a worthy cause.
