On Saturday March 3, 6:00 pm, The Textile Art Alliance of the Cleveland Museum of Art (TAA) will be hosting an opening reception for it’s member show at HeightsArts Gallery, located at the newly renovated Cleveland Heights library, 2340 Lee Rd, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118. This show will run from March 3 – April 7, 2007. To emphasize the diversity of our membership, this show will highlight the talents of TAA members. This show will coincide with HeightsArts Family days, with demonstrations by members. There will be quilting demonstrations on both Sunday March 18, and March 25 and “make it and take it” projects for school age children.

March 28, 1:00 – 5:00 pm Painting on Silk – for grades 6 – 12, Reservations is required by March 23
March 28, 2:00 – 4:00 pm – Make it and take it - Paper Weaving with TAA member Marty Young
March 29, 2:00 – 4:00 - Make it and Take it - Paper Quilting with TAA meber Marty Young
March 31, 1:00 pm, Gayle Pritchard will give an illustrated talk about her new book “Uncommon Threads: Ohio’s Art Quilt Revolution”, published by Ohio University Press. It traces the emergence the art quilt as a medium and shows the central role Ohio artists played in its creation. The book will be available for purchase, and Gayle will be signing her books.
