Any One of Us: Words from Prison, which explores the connection between women in prison and violence. Directed by Jacqi Loewy.

Friday, June 22

Cleveland Playhouse, Drury Theatre, 8500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland

Cast includes:  Beth Wood, Angela Winborn, Lynette Brown, Marci Paolucci, Jasmine Yates, Jean Zarzour, John Busser

 The Cleveland Playhouse generously donated space for this performance.

 

  

A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and a Prayer, featuring monologues from notable writers, each monologue was for the writer to realize, with  improvised accompaniment, anything is possible. Directed by Deb Lemire.

Friday, June 29

Akron-Summit County Public Library, 60 S. High St., Akron

The readings will be accompanied by celebrated pianist and composer, Marge Adler.

Tickets are $20 for the game, Thank You Rally (hosted by Eric and Kate Wedge of the Cleveland Indians), and symbolic walk around the stadium after the game, featuring the title track from Anne E. DeChant’s new CD, Girls and Airplanes. Information from many organizations that serve women and girls in northeast Ohio will be available. Tickets may be purchased from participating festival organizations (listed at www.utvsneo.org) or by downloading an order form at www.utvsneo.org. Ticket sales directly benefit women and girls in our community.
