HUMANA FESTIVAL PREMIERE

In an historic collaboration, The Play House will co-produce one of the World Premieres presented at the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville next spring. As the major festival of new American plays, Humana has premiered the work of such writers as Arthur Kopit, Tony Kushner, Marsha Norman, Donald Margulies, John Patrick Shanley, and Sarah Ruhl. The Festival attracts audiences from around the world, and three of its plays have won Pulitzer Prizes for Drama. Actors Theatre and The Play House will announce the play in September. It might be by one of America’s leading lights—or the next great playwright.  With Humana’s history, it’s sure to be an exciting experience for Cleveland audiences.
