Families become explorers as they dig for pirate treasure and investigate the history of Earth's most exotic islands in Galapagos Sands: Exploring the Centuries," The Children's Museum of Cleveland's annual 70-ton indoor sand exhibit. This welcome alternative to winter's brisk weather includes a pirate ship and 15-ton sand sculpture and teaches environmental awareness through hands-on fun in the research tent. Offering a variety of hands-on, family-oriented exhibits and programming, The Children’s Museum of Cleveland strives to be recognized as the destination and resource for all young children to develop, learn, create and have fun through unique interactive play. The Children's Museum is located at 10730 Euclid Avenue in University Circle. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular admission is $7.00 for children age 12 years and under; Adult admission is $6.00. Infants 11 months and under and members enter free.
