NEW ARGENTINE TANGO SESSION BEGINS MARCH 28TH!
Although we hadn't planned on doing another session until October 2008, we've decided to add one more session in before the summertime hits. It's an 8-week semester, and it begins on March 28th and runs until May 16th.
We will be more than happy to answer any question(s) you have about the class, the shoes, the protocols, etc. :) Because we have a session going right now, if you're curious to see how a lesson is taught, the environment, etc., please feel free to stop by on an upcoming Friday night and watch things as they unfold. We encourage you to stay past the point of class into practica time, so we'll have the opportunity to chat with you and answer any questions you may have in person. You can also ask current students how they like the class. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable and prepared to embark on the Tango journey. :)
As always, no partner is required to sign up for the class! We rotate partners constantly throughout the class, as that's the best way to learn more rapidly. We do ask that you complete the registration process as early as possible, as we'll be limiting the size of the class (as well as maintaining a leader/follower balance) to increase the amount of one-on-one time. We also ask that everyone plan on wearing no/low-heeled shoes with non-rubber soles and closed toes for classtime. We can definitely point you in the direction of inexpensive shoes. I (Julie) am quite loyal to dance sneakers.
We will send you a packet of "goodies" after you register in advance of the session so you can begin "studying" this truly delicious art form before the class even begins.

#### NEW 8-Week BEGINNER SESSION starting Friday, March 28th ####
Beginner Lesson (Progressive format): Fridays, 8-9:30pm
Supervised Practica: Fridays, 9:30-11:00pm
PLEASE NOTE: It is very, very critical to your process that you
practice what you've learned in class. Classtime is meant to give
everyone exposure to concepts, an opportunity to "try it out," and an
opportunity to discuss the material. The "practica" is the
opportunity to practice that material with each other and with the
instructors immediately after learning it. The practica will include
music that is included on the Practice CD and will incorporate many of
the protocols of a Buenos Aires milonga (tango dance). Expect to dive
into this elegant dance on Friday nights and become addicted to it like
we are!
We are devoted to our tango students, and we will put everything we have
into making sure you learn this dance and have a ball doing it.
