New Discoveries of Ancient Lifeways on Sandusky Bay: Four Seasons at the Danbury Site Dr. Brian Redmond, Curator and Head of Archaeology
Museum archaeologists have spent the last four summers working at the Danbury site, a prehistoric Native American settlement on the shores of Sandusky Bay. We now know that this important site was occupied for at least 4,000 years and evolved from a simple fishing camp to a large village of early farmers. Dr. Brian Redmond highlights recent finds at the Danbury site and discusses some surprising new insights it has yielded about the native peoples of Northern Ohio.
Tickets are: general public: $7 per lecture or $38 for the full series; Museum members: $5 per lecture or $27 for the full series. College students admitted free with valid ID. Note: These prices include a reception after the lecture to meet and ask the curator questions. Light refreshments will be served.
To order tickets, call the Museum’s box office at 216-231-1177 or 800-317-9155, ext. 3279, or visit www.cmnh.org.
