The Natural History of Grapes Saturday, April 19, 2008, 6:30 p.m. to midnight
Grapes have a long and abundant history. While they've grown wild since prehistoric times, evidence suggests they were cultivated in Asia as early as 5,000 BC. Guests will attend a reception and presentation on the natural history of grapes by Marianne Frantz, president of The Cleveland Wine School. They will then dine on a seven-course meal that incorporates this “fruit of the vine” prepared by Sammy’s Executive Chef John Taylor. Taylor and Frantz will provide commentary on food and wine.
Each evening event is $150 per person or all four evening events is $500 per person. For reservations, call (216) 231-1177 or 800-317-9155, ext. 3279, or online at www.cmnh.org. Seating is limited to 100 per evening. Please notify us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions you may have when you make your reservation.
