Saturday, April 5, at 8 p.m., "cruise to the Caribbean" with The University of Akron Steel Drum Band
and Trinidad's Sophie Subero, solo champion of the 2000 World Steelband Music Festival. Local
rock legend Jonah Koslen joins with his favorite "Flip-Flop Song' from the UA Steel Band's newest
CD, "By Request." Our popular big-screen "Pan Cam" will put you in the middle of the vibrant
sights and tropical sounds.
The concert is at UA's E.J. Thomas Hall, 198 Hill Street, on the campus of The University of Akron.
Tickets in advance and at the door are $18 general; $16 seniors, children 12 and under, UA
