Tien, Dean and Nord Professor of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University's Case School of Engineering. Founder of the Great Lakes Institute for Energy Innovation, Dr. Tien will share his initiatives and vision for the future of Northeast Ohio. This new institute will identify and implement achievable solutions today to build and sustain tomorrow's industries, providing Ohio with a competitive advantage in the area of sustainable energy resources.
In December the Institute received a $3.7 million grant from The Cleveland Foundation, and has just received a $2 million grant from the Maltz Family Foundation.
