The Hudson Wine Festival, benefiting the Humane Society of Greater Akron will take place Saturday, July 19 from 12 – 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 1 – 6 p.m. along Village Way, adjacent to Vue Restaurant and across from the Hudson Library in the beautiful First & Main shopping district. The event will showcase over 250 wines from national and international producers. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, international foods, cooking demonstrations, discussions on wine trends and various raffles throughout the weekend. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event. In addition, a special V.I.P. event will be held Friday, July 18 at 6 p.m. inside the Vue where guests will be treated to mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres from Chef Rick Carson and his staff, along with premium wine tastings and a silent auction among other activities. V.I.P. tickets are available for $100 and can be obtained through Vue, Shoe Gallery of Hudson, PostNet, The Humane Society of Greater Akron or online at www.summithumane.org.
