“All aboard!” Local real estate agent Al Stasek and the Stasek Real Estate Group of RE/MAX Crossroads Properties, is running bus tours for buyers who are interested in the opportunity to purchase a home that has gone through foreclosure, is in pre-foreclosure or is being offered through a bank “short sale”.
The State of Ohio ranked fourth nationwide for the number of foreclosure & pre-foreclosure filings this past January. “Our goal is to reduce the area’s inventory of distressed properties, put new families into properties that are vacant and bring home values in our neighborhoods back up.” says Stasek, a 9 year veteran, licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Crossroads Properties. “It’s a really unfortunate reality, but it provides fantastic opportunities for home buyers. A portion of the revenue earned on every sale will be donated to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, so we are looking forward to positively impacting the lives of many people with every transaction.”
The focus of the tour is to educate buyers about the benefits, as well as the red flags to look out for, when purchasing a distressed property. An “ASHI Certified” home inspector will be aboard to answer any questions during the tour. Important information about each property will be provided by the Stasek Group including: The dollar amount the home last appraised at, the asking price of the home, and what other similar homes have sold for in that area. Buyers will have the opportunity to make offers right on the bus. A mortgage consultant will be on hand taking on-the-spot applications for mortgages and special home repair loans.
“This is designed for serious buyers who are looking for a great opportunity to buy a home grossly undervalue.” says Stasek. “You do not need to be a seasoned real estate investor or have experience buying property. I have purchased several distressed properties over the last 10 years, so I believe my personal experience will benefit buyers who have never ventured down this path. We are there before, during and after the transaction; this is the component that sets our group of professionals apart from the crowd.”
Tours will be approximately 3 hours in length, and will be held in different locations around the Greater Cleveland area, every other week. The next tour is scheduled for Saturday April 5th and will meet at the RE/MAX Crossroads office, 19322 Detroit Road, Rocky River at 11AM. 10-15 homes from Lakewood, west to Avon will be viewed. Cost: $15 per person, which includes Lunch & Beverages. Seating is limited. Call 877-925-1018 x160 to register or log on to ClevelandShortSaleBus.com to register online.
