COSE Arts Network Hosts Panel Discussion: Determining your Artistic Value
CLEVELAND, March 21, 2008 — COSE’s (Council of Smaller Enterprises) Arts Network will host an interactive panel discussion, Determining Your Artistic Value, on Thursday, April 10 from 4- 6 p.m. at the Kent State University Museum’s Murphy Auditorium.
The discussion, moderated by Anderson Turner, director of Kent State School of Art Galleries, will include panelists Judith Mansour Thomas, director of The Lit (Cleveland’s Literary Center), William Busta of William Busta Gallery, and Steve Frumpkin of Jim Wadsworth Productions (Nightown’s entertainment producers). Panelists will discuss issues like how artists determine the monetary value of their artistic work, how artists determine their market, and how an artist can begin to sell their work - all in an effort to help artists understand the factors that affect how much they can charge for their work and how their decisions affect their careers. This panel discussion will include valuable information for artists from across artistic disciplines, specifically visual art, literary art, and music.
The cost for the panel and a reception following the discussion is $5 for COSE members and $15 for non-members. There is no charge for Kent State University students and faculty. For more information or to register, log on to www.cose.org or call Abby Maier at (216) 592-2472.
