Beachland Ballroom Presents:
Audio Spectrum Presents: Open Range Torch Songs plus Crookneck Chandler & The Tibee Bottom Boys and Brian Lisik Band
Thursday, Apr 17, 2008 8:00 PM EDT (7:00 PM Doors) at Beachland Tavern
General Admission $3.00
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Drew Clair has put together some of Northeast Ohio’s more accomplished musicians to form this new project, Open Range Torch Songs. After being a founding member of Tumbleweed Jo (1998-2000) and Woodshed Mercy (2004-2007), he decided to abandon the standard band format and focus on writing and recording music. The results reflect lessons from the past, as well as newer songs that were recorded at Clint Holley's Audio Spectrum Recording studio. Of course, they'll sneak in some songs from Tha'Shed from time to time. Enjoy!
The fine line between earnest Americana outfit and novelty country act is blurred when it comes to Cleveland based Crookneck Chandler & The Tibbee Bottom Boys. This bubbly quartet comes out of the gate strong with bluegrass pickin' vibes buoyed by catchy melodies and vocalist Hank Mallery's Elvis "Thank you very much" Presley vocals and fun lyrics. Suffice it to say, Americana or folky country fans will invariably find plenty of rousing moments while listening to Crookneck Chandler & The Tibbee Bottom Boys. – The Plain Dealer Also locally grown, Brian Lisik will start off the evening.
