There will be a reception for painter George F. Kocar's work at the 5700 Gallery, 5700 Broadway in Slavic Village, Friday May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. George's colorful paintings combine humor and wit and though-provoking social commentary. The event is free and open to the public.
