Live animal and planetarium shows, carnival games, bounce house, crafts, Radio Disney,food and the Great Duck Race combine for the perfect way to kick off your family's summer.
2008 Family Fun Fest Schedule
Noon - 4 - Nature Crafts, Carnival Games, Yummy Food and Crafts for Sale by the Center’s Women’s Board, Bounce Houses, Learn to cast with the Division of Wildlife and purchase a Limited Edition 2008 Center T-Shirt.
1 & 3:30 - Free Live Animal Shows! (1 p.m. Snakes, 3:30 p.m. Owls)
12:30, 1, 1:30, 2, 2:30, 3 and 3:30 - Planetarium Shows!
12:30 & 1:30 - Free Family Nature Discovery Hikes!Have fun exploring nature on our interactive hikes.
2:30 - The Great Duck Race. Watch the rubber ducks race down Porter Creek and see if yours wins one of more than 20 prizes, including cash, a Center membership and Indians Tickets! To sponsor a duck, fill out form below.
3 - Radio Disney appearance with dancing and prizes.
*Some activities require tickets to participate. Tickets are $1/ticket, $10/12 tickets or $20/26 tickets. This event is a fundraiser for the independent, non-profit Center.
The Great Duck Race - Sponsor a Duck Today!
There are a limited number of ducks in the race. Ducks will be sold until 1:30 on June 1. Each duck will be assigned a number for the race. A receipt for your duck and race rules will be mailed to you. Need not be present to win. Ducks sponsorships are being sold at Bay Village and Avon LakeTrue Value Stores and at Lake Erie Nature & Science Center.
