ZooBlooms July 13, 2008 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
This annual day for gardeners features a bumper crop of experts, activities and just plain fun. Visitors can learn how staff horticulturists care for the landscapes throughout the Zoo's 168 manicured acres.
Visitors may take in the natural beauty on foot or aboard one of two guided ZooTram tours led by the Zoo's Manager of Horticulture, Don Krock. Gardening experts will present seminars in the Zoo Administration Building.
ZooBlooms also offers plenty of hands-on fun. Young sprouts can make seed bracelets, etch leaves, pot their own plants and more in the Family Activity Center. Children of all ages can lend a hand with the annual ladybug release on the Welcome Plaza.
