$5 advance tickets available at Music Saves. Film School are 5 people that create a large sound with emphasis on melody and rhythm. The live show is loud and dynamic (no staring at shoes). But not merely a wall-of-sound that hits you over the head, Film School creates a sonic galaxy that engulfs listeners, and when combined with volume, approaches Godhead and delivers a change in psyche. It’s the combination of reverbed distortion, longing melodies and powerful rhythms that makes the album Hideout wholly compelling and a powerful live experience.
A question we are often asked: Why the name "Film School"? The name came about as a play on the prescribed ideas of what a kid from the suburbs can do if he/she wants to get into a creative career. The answers are something along the lines of: you can go to art school, you can go to film school, you can start a band, etc. So we started a band named Film School. (Note to young people: we highly do not recommend starting a band as a career)
