Cleveland Plus: Turning the Corner in Infrastructure and Transportation
Joseph Calabrese of RTA, Ricky Smith of Cleveland Airport System, and Adam Wasserman of the Port Authority

Reservation
The Cleveland Plus region is turning the corner. Transforming projects are under way in the core city—from the massive Euclid Corridor redevelopment project, to large-scale expansion of cultural and healthcare institutions in University Circle and adjacent areas, and Continental Airlines’ major expansion at Hopkins International Airport.

With the expansion of NASA Glenn’s role in future space exploration projects, saving and adding Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) jobs, passage of state tax reform that is encouraging more business investment and growth in our state, and the proposed Cleveland Medical Mart and convention center, there is even more progress in the pipeline.

From our international airport, to our highways, waterways and public transit, Greater Cleveland is one of the most logistically friendly regions in the nation. Executives from our community’s major logistics systems will discuss the billions of dollars of investment occurring in our region and how that investment will not only change the way we travel but also position the region for business and economic growth.

Confirmed Speakers: Joseph Calabrese, general manager of the Greater Cleveland RTA, Ricky D. Smith, director of the Cleveland Airport System, and Adam Wasserman, president of Cleveland-Cuyahoga Co. Port Authority. Deb Janik, senior VP, real estate and business development at GCP, will serve as moderator.

“Cleveland Plus: Turning the Corner” is a four-part series, in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Partnership, that focuses on physical and economic development projects that are helping the Cleveland Plus economy “turn the corner” toward sustainable, long-term prosperity. Other programs in the series include Downtown Development (4/23), University Circle Area Development (7/23), and Transforming the Region's Economy (12/17).
