Tehnyat Majeed speaks at Delphic Books (Free and Open) 1793 Coventry Village Cleveland Hts, OH 44118 216-321-8106
May 18, 2008 5-7 PM Why Astrology Matters
Why does astrology matter? For anyone who thinks it doesn’t, know that you’ve put yourself up against Carl Jung, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Sir Isaac Newton and Hippocrates. They all thought it did. Okay, you think. But that was in the past. We were primitive then, right? Now we’re enlightened.
Right.
On May 18th, Tehnyat Majeed will take us through a blazingly swift but clear (she promised) account of fundamental natal, progressed and relocated charts, before she outlines her view of Hindu Astrology as contrasted to the western model. When we catch our breath, there will be time for questions.
Each person will get a copy of their own birth chart (remember to bring your birth date, birth time and city and state of birth).
A two-hour overview of a vast subject that takes a lifetime to master. --------------------------------------------------- Dr. Tehnyat Majeed was raised in Pakistan, educated at Oxford, and is currently a Curatorial Fellow in Islamic Art at the Cleveland Museum of Art. While at Oxford, she studied at the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London and with the French astrologer, Linda Bruckert. She was first introduced to astrology as an aid to self-understanding by her father, who encouraged her in a way unusual for a daughter in Pakistani culture and wished her, above all, to grasp the grand interconnectedness of the universe.
