With heated discussion of Iran’s possible development of nuclear capabilities, the fact of realized nuclear capabilities in North Korea is of critical importance. What will it take to create real security in the region? What types of solutions are possible? What types of solutions are probable? What kind of economic repercussions do these scenarios generate? Jack Pritchard served as ambassador and special envoy for negotiations with South Korea in the first administration of President George W. Bush. Ambassador Pritchard was also Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs during the Clinton administration. In a three-person panel, Pritchard and representatives from the Korean Embassy and the US State Department will discuss foreign, security and economic relationships in the region.
