Young at Heart: Railroad Legend and Lore
There is nothing more lonesome or more intriguing than a train whistle in the distance. The advent of railroads in the 19th century left few aspects of American life untouched. The railroads brought new jobs, new goods, and a host of new legends and lore that give us a glimpse into life on the rails. Fee: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (55+), $10 for children (3-12). Departure is from Rockside Station at 12:25 pm or Akron Northside Station at 2:00 pm on May 4, 2008.
