The first feature from the director of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (see 5/11) is another slice-of-life odyssey mixing humor and horror. It begins when a naïve young man from the provinces agrees to drive to Bucharest and deliver a bag of “stuff” for a local gangster. But pretty soon he and his best friend and girlfriend—who have come along for the ride—find themselves pursued by cops and killers. Cleveland premiere. Subtitles. 35mm. 90 min.
