Veterans Memorial Bridge and subway FREE walking tour - Cleveland
Receive Our Weekly Email

The Veterans Memorial Bridge and subway tours will commence on Saturday, May 24, 2008. Hosted by the Cuyahoga County Engineer's Office, this event has been an enormous draw over the years.  Last year over 5,000 visitors toured the lower level, walked through the old streetcar station, watched films and were intrigued by many exhibits, viewed the City of Cleveland and the Cuyahoga River 100-ft. above the River and took in Cleveland's historic past, among many other things.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. to everyone.  The tours are self-guided and there are no reservations.  The main entrance is located on the northeast corner of W. 25th St. and Detroit, at 2433 Superior Viaduct.  Signs will be posted and there is plenty of free parking.  The event closes at 3:00 p.m.  It is wheelchair & stroller accessible and is open to all ages.  Cameras are encouraged.

Two more tour dates remain in 2008:  Saturday, July 5, 2008 & Saturday, August 30, 2008.
