Some of the finest birding in Ohio is along the southern shore of Lake Erie at Sandusky Bay. We will be using the exclusive Winous Point Shooting Club (WPSC) as our base camp for this annual birding event. Winous Point protects some of the most intact wetlands along Lake Erie and provides excellent resting and nesting habitats for large numbers of migrant and resident birds. Accommodations at this 150-year-old club will be comfortable and casual. Bedding is provided; bathrooms are shared. Participants will drive to the club and then spend an incredible evening and day birding. Dinner will be at a local restaurant on Sunday night, breakfast and food to pack for lunch will be provided Monday morning. Museum vans will be available to shuttle participants to nearby birding areas Crane Creek State Park and the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. This will be an experience you will never forget. This program is not suitable for youth under the age of 16 and is designed for the avid birder.
