With names like Little Brown Mudbug and Papershell Crayfish, some 20 species of crayfish, half of them found from Northeast Ohio, are known to exist in our state. Some even burrow into the ground, far from water, leaving a little stovepipe chimney of clay soil to indicate their presence. Who else resides in these burrows? Find out when you join Museum staff for a research trip to survey for crayfish on a Museum preserve.
