Our Northeast Ohio region hosts numerous rare and threatened summer breeding birds that are rarely found elsewhere in Ohio. Take a birding road trip with us by van as we attempt to visit these rare birds and their rare habitats, many on the Museum’s natural areas in Lake and Ashtabula counties. We’ll be looking for such breeding rarities as Canada Warbler, Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush, Dark-eyed Junco and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Bring your binoculars and lunch.
