The Museum's Trout Club is sponsoring its second-annual fly fishing trip, this time to the Youghiogheny River in Southwest Pennsylvania. The dry-fly fishing is outstanding at this time of the year because the river is a tailwater fishery below the Confluence Dam. The trip is open to all, but is particularly suited for the novice fly fisher and will include instruction in casting, stream techniques, entomology, knot-tying and fly selection, all of which will improve your fly-fishing skills. On Sat, there will be a guide provided for every two people and you will have a choice of a float trip or a wade trip. Guides for Fri or Sun are available at extra cost. The cost of the trip includes all instruction; guides; two nights at the Trillium Lodge, a rustic retreat located on Laurel Ridge; and all meals from Fri dinner through Sun breakfast.
