The newly rebuilt Whiskey Island Bridge will be dedicated to the citizens of Cuyahoga County on River Day, Saturday, May 17, 2008. The ceremony will be held on the bridge starting at 3:00 pm. Please plan on arriving by 2:45 pm as traffic over the bridge will be stopped at that time. The dedication will occur at the west end of the new bridge and last approximately 20 minutes. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting and a plaque unveiling will be part of the festivities, and the Sunset Grille on Whiskey Island will be open to serve patrons after the event. Also, you may wish to join other River Day visitors at the Coast Guard Station for presentations and discussion about the future of the building.
