Sister Souljah Launches Teen Summit - Cleveland

Cleveland Public Library will host the FREE and open to the public second annual Teen Summit on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 at its Lake Shore Facility, 17133 Lake Shore Boulevard. Participation is open to teens in grades 7-12. The event’s theme is “Today’s Choices – Tomorrow’s Consequences.”
Sister Souljah, nationally recognized author and activist, will launch the Summit Friday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. with a keynote speech and book signing. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and teens will have first priority for admission.
The Teen Summit continues Saturday, May 17, at 9:00 a.m. Saturday activities will focus on presenting teens with necessary information to make good choices on a variety of topics including health, education, job seeking, and constructive use of free time. A morning parenting session to encourage parents to speak with their teens about sex will also be offered.
