Due to overwhelming demand from county and city youth and their parents, the summer jobs programs being operated by Youth Opportunities Unlimited for Cuyahoga County Commissioners and City of Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson has nearly run out of applications. For this reason, applications available at the KPK Building, 1849 Prospect will be available only until 12:00 noon Friday, May 16 or until they run out. After an application is completed, youth must still pass an interview. Completed applications (already disseminated) will be accepted at the KPK Building until all interview slots are filled.
For the 1,200 summer jobs available about 3,000 applications were printed, and demand on the first day has been tremendous. For all details of both programs, see attached information.
