Ohio Choro Club (OCC) began in 2007 after Eric Murray and Jason Little returned to Ohio from a music-study trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Their friends Sara Tamburro and Jon Mosey heard the music, instantly fell in love with it, and joined Murray and Little in learning a bunch of choro classics as well as some choice bossa nova favorites.  

            The OCC plays music that is perfect for listening. dancing, or background music.  Their instrumentation consists of clarinet, mandolin, 7 string guitar, and pandeiro (Brazilian tamborine).  Upon first hearing the OCC live, Lucas Kadish, 12 year old local guitarist and recent choro admirer said, "It kind of sounds like funky classical music."  Come listen, you'll have a great time.  For Choro!
