Details: Yes, we do mean Veery! You have got to hear the sound of the Veery with its enchanting, spiraling, ethereal call. Veerys nest here and the summer is not complete until you are lucky enough to hear the territorial song of the Veery.
Meet walk leader and local expert naturalist Jim Tomko in the parking lot for Audubon’s Aurora Sanctuary, on the south side of East Pioneer Road, just a few yards east of Page Road. This parking lot adjoins Sunny Lake park, which we will walk into.
