A family's love of nature will be displayed through photography at The Holden Arboretum Warren H. Corning Visitor Center May 30 through July 9. The de Fasselle's images reflect their unique visions of Ohio's beauty.

Craig de Fasselle, the father, seeks to capture both the beauty and majesty of his life-time love of nature through film and digital images. His images preserve the special visual moments that moved him emotionally.

Sara de Fasselle, the mother, started as the researcher and trip planner of the family's photographic expeditions. No longer content to enjoy the scenery while her husband and son took photos, she began to pursue her own photographic efforts. Her images reflect a love of vibrant colors, majestic landscapes, and details and textures.

In contrast, Scott de Fasselle, the son, works in film and digital photography before blending multiple photographs digitally. His images range from scenic black and white photos to photomontages that present the environment in new and inspiring ways.

Dead Tree Photography is the photographic endeavor of the entire family.
Focused on nature and wildlife photography, they showcase color, black and white, and photomontage fine art prints. Sharing similar inspiration and vision for photography, Craig, Sara and Scott possess unique and complimentary photographic styles. Beyond the signs marked "scenic overlook," Dead Tree Photography begins.

The artists will share their visions at a free opening reception on from 7-10pm, Friday, May 30. Light appetizers and a soft bar will be available. No reservations are necessary. For more information please contact Rebecca Walters, exhibit coordinator, at 440-602-8019 or at rwalters@holdenarb.org.
