Flutist George Pope kicks off The University of Akron School of Music's Summer Flute Experience
with a recital on Monday, July 21 at 8 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall. Joining Pope is alto flutist Jane
Berkner and pianist Laura Silverman. Works by J.S. Bach, Kennan, River, Honegger, and Poulenc.
Professor Pope is Chair of Flute Studies in UA's School of Music.
The concert is free and open to the public. Guzzetta Recital Hall is located at 157 University Ave.,
across from E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall. For more information, call the School of Music office
