Aurora Wetlands Evening Hike
Aurora Wetlands - Aurora, OH

Not only is this a fantastic wetland but it is one of the best grassland habitats remaining in Aurora. Let's observe the local flora and fauna as the daytime wildlife settles in for the night and the nocturnal wildlife begins to prowl. We may see coyotes, mink, cottontails, deer, owls and bats prepare for their nightly forays. Last year there seemed to be more Willow Flycatchers than flies!
Meet walk leader and local expert naturalist Jim Tomko in the parking lot on the south side of Rt. 82 (aka West Garfield Rd) about 1.5 miles west of its intersection with Rt. 43. The Aurora Wetlands is located just west of the Aurora Kennel, located at 1013 West Garfield Road. Call the Society at 216/556-5441 if you need more information. And, as always, please come prepared for the weather. ______________________________________
