The Connect, Create, Change conference, featuring keynote speaker the Very Reverend Tracy Lind, Episcopal priest, city planner, and dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The conference will focus on the following topics related to creating positive changes in urban communities, Cleveland in particular:
• social welfare and workforce development,
• alternative energy,
• community mental health,
• education and technology,
• urban planning and land use, and
• sustainable food production and distribution.
The day will begin with a keynote address by Rev. Lind on sustainability, followed by breakout sessions for conference attendees. Sessions will focus on one topic, and will have formats ranging from roundtable discussions, panel presentations, and educational workshops, to project development. An opportunity for networking will follow closing remarks.
The conference was inspired by the Fellows’ recent trips to Denmark and Sweden, where they studied international approaches to the topics above.
The Cleveland Executive Fellowship is an experiential immersion leadership program, comprised of emerging leaders who have dedicated themselves to strengthening Northeast Ohio and encouraging Cleveland’s renewal. The Cleveland Executive Fellowship is a program of the Cleveland Leadership Center.
