The first annual Ohio City Blues & Brews Fest features six prominent Northeast Ohio blues acts, as well as a wide range of craft brews and international beers, wine, food and art. The event, which benefits Ohio City Near West Development Corporation and the Wendy Park Foundation, kicks off at 4:00 p.m. with a special acoustic set by Mike Binder and Dave Nigro--The Whiskey Island Brew Crew, followed by the Colin Dussault Blues Project, the self-proclaimed “hardest working band in Northeast Ohio." The Robert Lockwood All Stars, featuring bandmates of the late Cleveland blues legend, also are on the bill, as are The KingBees, a six-piece outfit jamming classic blues and R&B hits. The event rounds out with a performance by Ohio City favorites MoKo BoVo and closes with a set by Kristine Jackson, who wows audiences with her trumpet playing and singing.
