The Lakewood Alumni Foundation (LAF) presents Oktoberfest, on October 4, 2008 from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at Around the Corner Saloon and Cafe, 18616 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. Tickets are $25 and include Oktoberfest themed dinner buffet, one drink ticket, musical entertainment and live auction. Proceeds from the event will benefit LAF. The foundation provides critical support in the way of cultural arts, capital enhancements and curriculum enriching equipment and supplies to students in all grades throughout the Lakewood City Schools. Additionally, the foundation gives out more than $50,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors annually. Tickets are available by calling the Lakewood Alumni Foundation at 216-529-4033.
