Set in a modern-day courtroom, “The Trial of Job” is an exciting, contemporary retelling of a timeless story. Spiced with comic relief and dramatic flair, “The Trial of Job” will make you laugh and bring you to tears. Job and his faith are on trial and his family and friends are called to testify. The notorious prosecutor Lucifer Lex and the ever-ready Defender of the Faith, Al Mighty make their case before Judge Maximus Mortalis. The audience is summoned to serve as jurors.

Faith Musicals, under the direction of Sharon Dobbins Alberson, will be performing The Trial of Job at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Rd., NW, Canton, Ohio, on August 24 at 7:30pm for one performance only.

The title role of Job will be performed by renowned tenor, Stanley Workman. Bob Peyak, a community theatre veteran, will be the notorious prosecutor Lucifer Lex, and Al Mighty will be played by Canton attorney, Ross Rhodes. Job’s wife will be played by Katie Grigg-Miller. Among the cast will be; Rev. Stephen Gifford, (Pastor of Canton Trinity United Church of Christ), Judith Tisserand, Debbie Heubeck and Phil Formes.

Additional Information:
Sharon Dobbins Alberson enjoys a diversified life as playwright/composer, minister, lawyer, wife and mother. Originally from Akron, Ohio, Sharon earned a Bachelors of Music Degree from Kent State University, Summa Cum Laude, and was a Blossom Festival Music Scholar with the Cleveland Orchestra. She is a graduate of The University of Akron School of Law and holds graduate degrees from Harvard Divinity School and Oxford University. Sharon is a member of the Ohio Bar and is an ordained minister in The United Church of Christ.
