On Thursday, September 25, 2008, join the Huntington’s Disease Society of America Northeast Ohio Chapter for Kitchens and Cuisines of the World, an exciting evening of international cuisine and libations all to benefit a wonderful cause!
Kitchens and Cuisines of the World will feature delicious “tastings” representing the gastronomic delights of countries from around the world at the must-see-to-be-believed Trevarrow Living Kitchen Showroom. Designed by renowned architect Dominick Tringali, the Living Kitchen Showroom features 6 kitchens in a sophisticated, contemporary setting. The kitchens were individually appointed from Americana Rustic to European Chic by Cleveland’s finest kitchen designers and are anchored with state of the art appliances by Sub-Zero and Wolf. Each kitchen will feature the culinary delights of a selected city of the world. The event will also feature a Silent Auction.
Huntington’s Disease (HD) is a progressive disorder that affects 1 in every 10,000 Americans; another 200,000 are at-risk of inheriting it. It affects males and females, children and adults. It is a hereditary disease that steals a person’s ability to speak, walk and reason. Over a period of 10 to 25 years, a person with HD slowly deteriorates mentally, physically and emotionally. Though there currently is no cure or effective treatment for HD, researchers are hopeful that they are close to several amazing breakthroughs. However, research cannot continue and a cure cannot be developed without the continued financial support of our corporate friends and neighbors.
