R&B singer Eric Benet comes to PlayhouseSquare. With his latest album "Love and Life" due September 9th, Benet integrates gospel, jazz and latin rhythms with traditional R&B framework easily showcasing the “You're the Only One” singer’s unmistakable tenor voice.
Joining Benet will be Dwele. Neo-soul singer/songwriter/producer Dwele grew up on Detroit's west side, listening to soul music from Motown visionaries Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye as well as jazz on the radio. His latest album is titled "Some Kinda". The simple title underlines the artist's laid-back, elegant take on today's R&B music.
