Scott Lax speaks on Incorpoating Personal Experience into Art. Lax is the author of The Year That Trembled, a love story and war chronicle about the effects of the Vietnam War on a group of friends living in a small Ohio town. It received the Sewanee Writers` Conference Walter E. Dakin Fellowship in Fiction and was Vermont`s 1998 runner-up Novel of the Year. Lax was awarded the Midwest Filmaker of the Year award for the film he produced.
This series for aspiring authors is presented in conjunction with The Lit (formerly the Poets`and Writers` League of Greater Cleveland) and is generously funded by Friends of the Shaker Library
