Cream Of The Crop came about in 1994 when Mike Onesko was signed to Shrapnel Records! Mike had come up with the idea to do a Cream tribute record to Mike Varney president of Shrapnel Records! They recruted Mikes drummer from the Blindside Blues Band,Badlands,and Racer-X for drums and Tim Bogert from Vanilla Fudge and Jeff beck who was the closest we could come to jack bruce with out Jack! Then we brought in Rick Derringer,Pat Travers.Leslie West,Glenn Hughes,Neal Schon, Joe Lynn Turner,to do leads and vocals! Well Tim and Mike decided to take it out live all these years later and that is how Cream Of The Crop was born! The current Cream Of The Crop drummer is current Blindside Blues Band drummer Emery Ceo!
Cream of the Crop will be recording the show for a December release on their label www.grooveyardrecords.com
